Girls Empowerment Foundation has an orphanage for girls in the district Kwale. This is about half an hour drive from Ukunda. The name of the orphanage is “Henny’s Children’s Home”. We can shelter max 80 girls in the age range 3 – 18 years. The girls live in harmony together as a family. They are part of 1 big family and the help each other with their homework, cook diner, wash en clean their own bedrooms, just like a ‘normal’ household.

There are two big-mama’s taking care of the daily business in the house: Eunice and Gladys. Together with private teacher Sylvia and some other helpers, they take care of the welbeing of the girls.
